Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. We are wishing that you had a merry and happy Christmas. Here are some pictures from our home.

Fr. Randy (from our Craig church) celebrated Christmas Mass at our home on Christmas day. It was very special having our "very own" Mass. Later that day we had three other people over for Christmas dinner. It was a very lovely gathering.

Yes, we're late - happy early holiday wishes

Sarah showing off the famous "Great Grandma's apple pie"

Things have been hectic with me going back and forth to Craig in an effort to get my EMT certification. Not any closer yet! But still working. Next plan is to go to Penrose (6 1/5 hrs from home) to see if I can get my clinicals done at a larger hospital.

Cris's Dad (Skip) and Dianne were here for two weeks helping out while I was away. They made sure all the kids kept up with their school work. The "boys" build a horse barn/shed, enlarged the garden, and did a whole lot of other projects.

Our Fall dance at the Ladore Hall (historic site) in Sept.

Sarah dancing the two-step with our good friend Bill McIntire

Exursion to Fish Creek Falls in Steamboat with our Cova (home school organization) group

Taken earlier this summer at our favorite swimming spot 10 miles from our house.

We're being asked to show our swimming permits.

Hope all is well with every one of you. Take good care. We think about you often.

Aug. 8 - 2008 Raft trip

The picture of the rolling hills and sage brush was taken 500 yards from the house.

Here are some more pictures from our raft trip down the Green River. Our friends who work for the Utah Park's Service went with us and let us use their canoe and raft. I think Cris wants to by the raft ... one man (or women) fising rig!! Our put-in point was about 15 miles from the take-out ... and it took 5 hours. Beautiful. You all must come and do this with us!!

(We did NOT lose Jake .. he is sitting behind me)

colorado - finally!

We are finally here. The house is coming together, though it does not really feel like "home" ... yet. I guess that will come with time. We have two horses which we call Duke (the dark one) and Ribs (the skinny, rust colored one). We have made some nice friends .. one of which took us rafting down the Green River. I am sorry for the delay ... I will try to update monthly.

Krause Canyon - 5 miles from us. Grandpa T. driving the 4-wheeler!

On a ridge 3 miles from us ... old indian camp site with teepee rings!
